Trampoline Trees.

I was having a heart to heart with one of my friends as we were out on the trampoline in the backyard.  It was late, probably 11:30pm or so, and the night sky was covered in clouds.  Not a star in sight.  Fairfax, being as busy as it is, never quite goes dark.  The lights from the surrounding buildings were lighting up the sky to an interesting red/yellowish kind of color.  I thought it looked better in black and white, though.

Night photography requires long exposures, and there I was, laying on the trampoline with no tripod.  What was a girl to do? I plastered the camera to my face, held my breath, and hoped for a decent photo.

Custom Ceiling.

One of the things I have come to appreciate since leaving my childhood town are the marks I've made from living there.  This is the ceiling of a local restaurant in Blacksburg.  Anyone can go and paint a ceiling tile; after it dries, it will make its way into the ceiling.  I've painted two of them myself, and some of them look incredible.  I always feel a little more at home in this place than the other chains in town knowing this is a truly "local" hangout.
